Formed in Detroit in 1997, GORE GORE GIRLS have released a string of albums that earned raves from the likes of the Village Voice, USA Today, Playboy Magazine and Lux Interior himself. In addition to touring the USA non-stop with the likes of THE CRAMPS, THE REVEREND HORTON HEAT, SHONEN KNIFE and SOUTHERN CULTURE ON THE SKIDS, fans of Gore Gore Girls saw the band sharing the stage with THE EAGLES OF DEATH METAL and even as an opener for SUGAR RAY. Gore Gore Girls' straight-ahead aural attack on the senses has earned the attention of fans like LITTLE STEVEN VAN ZANDT, who included them in the line-up of the history-making UNDERGROUND GARAGE FESTIVAL at Randall's Island, New York City, where they joined IGGY AND THE STOOGES, THE PRETTY THINGS, THE STROKES, THE RAVONETTES and the NEW YORK DOLLS, to name a few. We've been on tour in Europe for 3 weeks! The GGG has played in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and France. We love it here, the shows have been great! Now we hit in Scandinavia! Last night was opening for the Misfits 30th Anniversary tour in Helsinki, Finland to a sold-out crowd of 900 people. Tonight is the Pustervik club in Goteborg (Gothenburg), Sweden. Bergenfest in Norway on Friday will be hot - we're playing on the same day as Mavis Staples. Our set time for Bergenfest is 11 PM at the Logen Theatre. Gore Gore Girls & Alicia Warrington!
 Gore Gore Girls tour Europe with Alicia Warrington on Drums this Spring! The Girls could not be happier. Tour starts in Detroit April 5th and then off to Switzerland April 9th! Complete Europe Tour Dates HERE.Alicia, a 27 year old Saginaw, Michigan native, picked up a guitar at age 10 and the sticks at age 12. Alicia had a love for music from very early on. Her mother bought her a children's guitar and drumset when she was only 4 years old. In 2001, Alicia packed her car and moved by herself to Los Angeles. While on the west coast, she played with The Otterpops and Maps to Great Speed, before joining Ozzy's little pop-princess of darkness, Kelly Osbourne, in 2002.  Holiday Gore Gore Weekend: The Girls play at The Beachland Tavern in Cleveland, Ohio this Friday, 12-21 and in Pontiac, MI Saturday, 12-22! Gore Gore Girls share the stage with I,Crime and Harmonica Shah this Saturday in Pontiac, MI at the new Crofoot Ballroom! Shah is backed by Danny 'Dollrod' Kroha (The Dollrods, The Gories) on guitar and Betty Brownlee (Nathaniel Mayer's band, Uncle Jessie White, Wanda Jackson) on bass. In the 1970s Shah played with Bobo Jenkins, Eddie Kirkland, Eddie Burns, Willie D. Warren, Uncle Jesse White, and others who were part of the 'house rent party' scene presided over by John Lee Hooker up, down, and around Hastings Street in the 1950s. The blues had to be tough to reach ears accustomed to the drop forge and white-hot steel of the auto industry; "I don't want to play 'nice' music. Whoever likes it, that's ok, but its not what I want to hear," relates Harmonica Shah. It's Excello-drenched Texas swamp blues meets the hard blues of Hooker's 1950s Detroit that Shah wants to hear.
